The free taster pack includes 5 Serum presets covering a range of bass music styles:

• Mid-range bass – A textured mid-range patch with distortion and modulation, designed to sit above a sub layer

• Atmospheric bass – A deeper, more atmospheric bass patch with evolving character

Each preset includes mapped macro controls so you can adjust the sound quickly without diving into the synthesis parameters.

What You Need

• Xfer Serum (version 1.2 or later)
• Any DAW that supports VST, AU, or AAX plugins
• Basic knowledge of loading presets in Serum

How to Use the Presets

These presets are designed as starting points. Load them into Serum, play some notes, and start experimenting:

• Adjust the macros – Each preset has 4 macro controls mapped to the most useful parameters. Turn them and listen to how the sound changes
• Change the octave – Try playing the presets at different octaves to find where they sit best in your track
• Layer them – Use the sub bass preset as a foundation and layer the mid-range or Reese preset on top
• Process further – Add your own effects, EQ, and compression to shape the sound for your mix
